Complications Of Dengue Fever You Should Know

Dengue is a virus-borne disease that's transmitted by the bite of the infected Aedes Aegypti mosquito, and it can harm you very well, you can face many significant problems in curing it. Monsoons reduce the immunity of the body and make us vulnerable to a lot of infections that are usually linked with this year. It's time for us to maintain our body resistant to illnesses by improving our immunity and taking precautions against such disorders. It's principally characterized by sudden fever accompanied by severe headaches, muscle and joint aches, nausea, vomiting, skin rashes and moderate bleeding from the gums and nose. In the absence of appropriate therapy, specific complications may happen in dengue fever. The multiple kinds of dengue fever are dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS). Though rare, such complications of dengue fever may be life-threatening.

The first symptom of DHF is dengue fever. With the passing of time, complications become even more intense, and the individual starts to get increasingly sweaty and restless.

Another early indicator of DHF contain:

  1. Reduced appetite.
  2. Fever, Headache.
  3. Joint aches.
  4. Muscle aches.
In its acute stage, the sooner symptoms get more intense and are accompanied by ecchymosis (skin discoloration), rashes, petechiae (red spots on the skin) and also cold and clammy skin.

Dengue Shock Syndrome DSS

In dengue shock syndrome reduced blood pressure may result in organ dysfunction. The warning signals include continued abdominal pain, persistent nausea, intense cold, sweatiness (diaphoretic), restlessness and hypothermia. The existence of the symptoms is a sign that the individual has to be immediately hospitalized for averting a state of shock.

Despite the fact that DSS happens in just five percent of those dengue fever instances, but individuals who've been infected with another serotype of DENV (dengue virus) have been at higher risk of DSS.
